During his undergraduate studies, Rocco worked as a Journeyman Carpenter and Project Manager prior to working in Finance at Oracle Corporation following graduation. He then transitioned into a career in Commercial Real Estate Brokerage where his resourcefulness and drive helped him excel and quickly rise through the ranks. He eventually became a Vice President at Voit Real Estate Services, where he independently completed $92.4M in investment sales in his final year with the firm while attending graduate school.Rocco’s passion for real estate development began early on in his life. As a child, he was always fascinated by the way buildings were constructed and the impact they had on the community around them. This fascination only grew stronger as he got older, eventually leading him to pursue real estate development projects as a principal.

Over the years, Rocco has worked on a wide range of projects. He has experience in everything from land acquisition and entitlements to design and construction management. His deep understanding of the industry has made him a valuable asset to the Committed Industrial team, where he has been able to put his skills to use in leading the development of high-quality, modern industrial warehouses across Texas.

In his current role, Rocco oversees all aspects of ground up development operations, including site selection, design, capitalization, permitting, construction management, leasing, operations, and dispositions.

When he’s not working, Rocco enjoys amateur bodybuilding. He finds the dedication and discipline involved in the sport to be both challenging and rewarding. Overall, Rocco’s resourcefulness, passion, and unique approach have helped him achieve success in his career, and he continues to strive for excellence in everything he does.

Following his time with Cal Fire, Derek transitioned to sales and business development, where he quickly established himself as a top performer in the industry, often with national ranking. He demonstrated an innate ability to build strong relationships and identify opportunities for business growth, consistently exceeding sales targets and delivering innovative solutions to clients.
